Prerequisites for certification
The prerequisite for certification is determination of a carbon footprint of the respective product in accordance with TÜV UK standard TN-CC 007. This can be performed by the manufacturer himself or by a consultant. Certification includes verification of the carbon footprint and compensation of the calculated CO2 emissions. Valid CO2 certificates from climate protection projects should also be available in order to compensate for the CO2 emissions which have been calculated for the company.
