Inspection Services
TÜV UK Ltd’s technical support extends throughout the manufacturing and production phases, as a European Notified Body and
approved Inspection Body appointed by the UK Department of Trade and Industry. Services available include material
certification to meet EN 10204 3.2 (previously 3.1A or 3.1C) requirements, welding and welder approvals, NDT assessments,
witness and review of data files, and TÜV UK Ltd endorsement of manufacturer’s certificates, for example for final pressure
tests.
After the successful completion of the inspection for pressure equipment, TÜV UK Ltd will stamp the name-plate with the
world famous TÜV logo, and authorise use of our Notified Body unique identifier for CE marked items, demonstrating
successful conformity assessment to the prevailing regulations.

Design Approval
Design Review is carried out in the TÜV UK Ltd Head office in Croydon UK, utilising the most up-to-date software analysis
programs for design-by-rule assessment against ASME VIII, PD 5500, EN 13445, AD Merkblätter or Stoomwesen standards.
Hazard Analysis by FMEA or FMECA, design by analysis assessment of finite element models, or verification from first
principles is also undertaken on request.
EC Type and Design Examination Certificates are issued for conformity assessment leading to CE marking of pressure equipment
under the PED Directive 97/23/EC.
