 The Product Marks Services Offered by TÜV NORD

TÜV NORD is an independent institution recognized by the German Government under the German Product Safety Law (Verordnung zum Gerätesicherheitsgesetz). TÜV NORD offers you comprehensive information on as well as testing and certification of your products in the context of GS, CE and “Bauart“ marks approval. Competent specialists with many years of professional experience test your product in modern and well-equipped laboratories. Rapid and uncomplicated procedures, efficient testing methods and, above all, confidential handling of your documents and test results are the hallmark of TÜV NORD.

Thanks to our interdisciplinary coordination with engineers from other areas within TÜV NORD you can arrange for all the tests to be conducted which are required and appropriate to launch your products (e.g. EMC and ergonomic certification).

The GS Mark, which stands for “Approved Safety“, is the only legally valid mark for the safety of technical equipment in Germany. It highlights the safety of your product and thus facilitates the distribution of your products by traders and retailers. Moreover, it generates customer confidence, thus increasing sales, and helps you to meet the requirements of product safety laws. The GS mark is known throughout the world.

As a manufacturer of products subject to the German Safety Law (Gerätesicherheitsgesetz) you would prefer your products to carry the GS mark.
